Comprehensive eye examination
A full check of how well you see and how healthy your eyes are.
What the service involves
Forty unhurried minutes with an AHPC-registered optometrist. The examination covers refraction — working out your prescription — along with a check of the health of the eye and a measurement of the pressure inside it. The second half matters more than most people expect: a good deal of what an optometrist looks for causes no symptoms early on.
Who it is for
Anyone who has not had their eyes checked in the last two years, and anyone noticing headaches, blurred distance vision, or a prescription that no longer feels right.
Fees and appointments
Fee: GH₵200.
Appointment duration: 40 minutes.
Bring your current glasses and any existing prescription or referral. Ask the clinic about any preparation before your visit.
