Lens pricing

These prices are added on top of the frame price by the lens builder on every product page, and carried through the cart and checkout.

Step 1 — Lens types

What the lens has to do. At least one must be left unticked for “Needs Rx” — that is the frame-only option.

Step 1b — What the lenses are for

Where a lens type is sold by purpose, the purpose sets the price — near (reading) is charged differently from distance, and the figure on the lens type above is not what the customer pays. A lens type with no purposes here is priced from its own price instead.

The reference cannot be changed once a purpose has been saved: saved baskets and past orders record it, and renaming it would strand them. Untick “Offered” to take a purpose off sale without losing that history.

Index options offered on prescription lenses. Shown in this order, with the sensible choice for the prescription strength first.
